Announcements 10/25/24

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office.

  • HOSA is a club for students aspiring to work in the healthcare field and broaden their skills in teamwork and leadership along with learning about different healthcare professions. The first meeting is next Tuesday October 29th after school in Dr. Reiman's room (5-203) at 3:40.

  • 3 JM cross country athletes qualified for the state cross country meet next Saturday.  Congratulations to Abi Tri , Jaden Anderson,  and Aden Feda and best of luck next weekend!   

  • We will be hosting Northfield in Section Football on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.  This is a Minnesota State High School League event, no staff passes will be accepted. Please purchase tickets on the GoFan app to avoid waiting in line at the ticket booth. Student tickets are $6.00, Adult tickets are $10.00 (no Senior Citizen discounts)

  • Hola Rockets! Are you in the Halloween Spirit? Well La Familia Latina invites YOU! To our Halloween costume party on Thursday Oct. 31st! Wear your best costumes(Must be school appropriate), enjoy some yummy treats, music, pumpkin painting and more! If you're interested more information will be on the QR code posted around the school, main office, or next to room 3-G20. We hope to see you there Rockets!

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office.

  • Reminder, if you are staying after school tonight for homework help, K-Pop, writing club, e-sports or environmental club there will be no van rides home.

  • If you are interested in E-SPorts consider joining the district wide esports team for the Winter State Tournament. Rochester Public Schools is recruiting for Fortnite and League of Legends for the state championship this winter. Reach out to Coach McKnight for varsity tryouts and to join the team!

  • Spanish club meets on Thursdays after school.  They will be meeting after school today in room 3-G20 from 3:30-5:00.

  • We will be hosting Northfield in Section Football on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.

  • This is a Minnesota State High School League event, no passes will be accepted.

  • Please purchase tickets on the GoFan app to avoid waiting in line at the ticket booth.

  • Student tickets are $6.00, Adult tickets are $10.00 (no Senior Citizen discounts)

  • Boys basketball open gym is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM tonight.

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Wednesday update from the Main Office.

  • Want to be a superhero without even dressing up for Halloween?  Donate blood!  Every blood donation has the potential to save 3 lives.  JM will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, Nov. 7.  To donate blood, you must be 16 or older.  If you are interested, please ask your science teacher or Mrs. Dahl in 5-108 for an appointment request form.  These forms need to be turned in to Mrs. Dahl by Friday, Oct. 25.

  • John Marshall's esports team took their second win in Fortnite Zero Build Battle Royale last night for the Fall Club Season. The team will be going into the finals next week with a strong 3rd place seating out of 33 teams across the state. As the Fall Club Season comes to a close, consider joining the district wide esports team for the Winter State Tournament.   • There will be no after school programming after school today because of Parent Teacher Conferences.  This includes Homework Help ,K-Pop, writing club, and environmental club.  Also there will be no van rides home for the rest of the week.  

  • E-Sports will still meet after school today.

  • Do you hate cancer as much as I do? Come join the fight against it as we plan for Relay For Life! Meet in Room 2-201 next Thursday, Oct 24th at 8:30 AM. See you there!

  • Lifetouch will be here tomorrow for picture retake day from 9:00 to 11:00 AM

  • Sister Saves Sister will meet on Wednesday October 23, from 3:45 to 5:30 in room 3-109.  If you have any questions or would like to join please see Ms. Crystal.

  • We have a winner!! During our Rocket Boost students guessed how many warts were on our pumpkin and the official number is 315. Our winner guessed 310!

  • Congratulations Neko Gabriel! Come see Ms. Vasquez in the Community Room for your prize!

  • Rockets, if you drive to school and do not have a current parking pass, please fill out the parking pass form and pick up your pass in the Main Office before the end of October.

  • If you still need to have your picture taken or want to have your picture retaken, Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday, October 23rd from 9 to 11 AM in the Rocket Center.   If you haven’t picked up your picture order in the Main Office yet, please pick them up as soon as possible.

  • FCCLA members there will be a meeting at 8 am tomorrow (not after school) Please bring in all money from fundraisers and forms! Winners will be announced.

  • Thank you to those who participated in the FCCLA hurricane collection drive.  Remember the drive has been extended to Wednesday so if you still have items you can turn them in at door #1.  The winning English room that collected the most items is Mr. Matson's room!  Congratulations there will be a prize given later this week for his room.
