Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office

  • Mental health affects how we think, feel, and act every day. It plays a big role in overall well-being. When you feel mentally well, you’re able to enjoy life and the people in it, feel better about yourself and can better manage stress. 

  • Here are 3 things you can do for your mental health this week: 

  • 1. Make a list of 5 things you’re grateful for.

  • 2. Practice positive affirmations.

  • 3. Stay hydrated!

  • Did you forget to pick up your yearbook this week? Did you forget to bring your money to purchase one? No worries- we've got you! Head over to Ms. Welsh's room (3-109) to pick up or purchase. Books cost $108 and you must bring cash or a check only. Checks should be made out to JM Yearbook. Get them before they're gone! 

  • SENIORS, Class of 2024: You were our AT HOME class in 2020, but you did have an opportunity to send in a "Dear Future Self" letter as a freshman. Check with Ms. Powell in the Attendance window to see if you have a trip down memory lane.

  • Our Boys Tennis team defeated Owatonna last night for the first time in about 20 years, 5-2 to make it to the section final 4 tomorrow! Amazing job, Rockets!

  • Come join the fun in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life–JM’s biggest party–will be on May 18th from 4-10 in the JM Stadium. Food, games, prizes, entertainment–it will all be there. Together, let’s find a cure!  

  • Today we wear gray to honor those with brain cancer.  Early Symptoms of brain cancer are persistent headaches and neurological changes; seek medical attention if this is you.

  • The Relay for Life dress up day for tomorrow is: wear purple for all cancers

  • Sophomores who applied to be a mentor with Big Brother, Big Sisters: Make sure to read your email from Mrs. Vasquez sent on Monday. It contains information about your interview happening very soon.

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Wednesday update from the Main Office

     Black Student Union will NOT be meeting today.

     SENIORS, Class of 2024: Do you remember the day you first walked through the doors of John Marshall HS? If not, we can help. If you wrote yourself a "Dear Future Self" letter as a freshman, check with Ms. Powell in the Attendance window for a trip down memory lane.

     Come join the fun in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life–JM’s biggest party–will be on May 18th from 4-10 in the JM Stadium. Food, games, prizes, entertainment–it will all be there. Together, let’s find a cure! 

     Breast Cancer is the most common form of cancer in women, but advancements in medicine have made this cancer detectable and curable.  Today we honor those with breast cancer by wearing pink.

     The Relay for Life dress up day for tomorrow is: wear gray to honor those with Brain Cancer

     There will be a meeting for anyone interested in volleyball in the fall on Thursday morning at 7:30am in Ms. Ellson’s room 3-112.

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Tuesday update from the Main Office

  • Come join the fun in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life–JM’s biggest party–will be on May 18th from 4-10 in the JM Stadium. Food, games, prizes, entertainment–it will all be there. Together, let’s find a cure!

  • Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer.  Today we honor those with leukemia by wearing orange and gold

  • Relay for Life dress up day for tomorrow is: wear pink for Breast Cancer

  • The 2024 Yearbook is finally here! Tomorrow is the last day to pick them up in the concession stand by the gym during all lunch periods. Students who pre-ordered will need to bring a photo ID for pick up. There are still a few extras left for $99 plus tax Questions? See Ms. Welsh in 3-109.

  • Seniors -  tomorrow is decision day.  Wear your college merch to represent your decision.

  • All graduating seniors, please see Mrs. Vasquez in room 3-111 before next Friday regarding graduation. Stop in during passing, open hour or before school.

  • Come join the fun in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life–JM’s biggest party–will be on May 18th from 4-10 in the JM Stadium. Food, games, prizes, entertainment–it will all be there. Together, let’s find a cure!

  • To prevent skin cancer and protect yourself from the sun, apply sunscreen often and generously!  Today we honor those with skin cancer by wearing black

  • Relay for Life dress up day for tomorrow is: Wear orange or gold for leukemia

  • The 2024 Yearbook is finally here! Pick up is Tuesday, and Wednesday during all lunch hours at the concession stand by the Gym. Students who pre-ordered will need to bring a photo ID for pick up.
