Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office

  • Rockets, on Monday, May 13 we are doing the Seatbelt challenge outside on the patio during all lunches.  If you would like to participate, you need a team of 4 people to take the challenge.   The fastest teams can win Kwik Trip or Flapdoodles gift cards.

  • All graduating seniors, please see Mrs. Vasquez in room 3-111 before next Friday regarding graduation. Stop in during passing, open hour or before school.

  • Come join the fun in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life–JM’s biggest party–will be on May 18th from 4-10 in the JM Stadium. Food, games, prizes, entertainment–it will all be there. Together, let’s find a cure!

  • Relay for Life dress up days start on Monday, May 13th: Wear Black for skin cancer

  • The 2024 Yearbook is finally here! Pick up is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week during all lunch hours at the concessions stand. Students who pre-ordered will need to bring a photo ID for pick up. Didn't pre order, but still want one? We have a limited number of books for sale- price is $99 plus tax and once we sell out- that's a wrap! Questions? See Ms. Welsh in 3-109.

  • Rockets, support the Senior Party by purchasing a Lollipop for a $1 at the attendance window. Flavors are: Cherry, sour apple, grape, blue raspberry and bubble gum. Stop during passing time and buy one!

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office

  • Congratulations to Rihanna Khamda, Solaf Rezeq and Karnwoyi Okello.  They have been chosen to speak at Graduation on June 1st.

  • If you signed up for Student Council next year please see Mrs. Thompson in room 3-200B as soon as possible.

  • It’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health is all around us, but it’s often misunderstood. Every week this month, we will share tips to help you work on your mental fitness. The best way to protect your mental health is to pay attention to it even when you’re feeling okay. Just like with our physical health, we can do things that make us mentally healthier and happier. As always, if you are worried about yourself or someone else, talk with a trusted adult.

  • Students, it is time to start searching high and low for any of your library books! The last day to check out is this Friday May 10 and all books are due back Wednesday May 15. Thank you for your help in bringing them back!

  • Rockets! If you will be a junior or senior next school year and are considering PSEO  (Post-Secondary Enrollment Option), as a full-time or part-time student, you need to complete the PSEO enrollment process by May 31st, 2024. Please see your guidance counselor if you have any questions or need assistance.

  • Relay For Life is having dress up days starting on Monday, May 13th. 

  • Wear these colors to honor those who have survived this type of cancer and to remember those we've lost: 

  • On Monday, May 13th: Wear Black for skin cancer

  • On Tuesday, May 14th: Wear Orange for childhood leukemia

  • On Wednesday May 15, we wear pink for breast cancer

  • On Thursday May 16, it's gray-out for brain cancer

  • On Friday May 17, we wear purple for all cancers

  • Attention all students! Do you have a sweet tooth? You can buy a Lollipop for a $1 at the attendance window to support the senior party. Flavors are: Cherry, sour apple, grape, blue raspberry and bubble gum. Stop during passing time and buy one!

  • AP EXAM students - If you are taking a morning exam, you must report to your assigned room by 7:30 a.m. with 2 pencils, 2 pens, and any other required testing materials.  If you are taking an afternoon exam, you must report to your assigned room by 11:30 a.m. with 2 pencils, 2 pens, and any other required testing materials.  

  • Students, it is time to start searching high and low for any of your library books! The last day to check out is this Friday May 10 and all books are due back Wednesday May 15. Thank you for your help in bringing them back!

  • Rockets!
