Good afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office.
Environmental Club is hosting a thrift sale in April! While you’re doing your spring cleaning, save any clothes you’re thinking about getting rid of for our thrift drive! Make sure to donate your old clothes in the bins in the lobby until April 12th
Congratulations to our JM Speech Team who came in first place at the Spartan Speech Showdown at Mayo High School. The team has added another trophy to their collection.
Reminder, there will be no after school meal today.
There are many free and low-cost ways for students to participate in interesting enrichment opportunities on college campuses and elsewhere over the summer. Many of these would look great on a college application!
See Ms. Cobb in 3-G01 for more information or use the QR code posted around the building to join the "All Things Honors" google classroom. All students are welcome to join!
Rockets, there is no school tomorrow and next week. Enjoy your time away from school!

Do you have mental health concerns but don’t know where to get professional help? Recently an organization called Rochester Community Initiative created the Mental Health Database, a website for people to find therapists and/or free resources if they need mental health support. If you or someone you know is struggling with any mental health issues, please search rcimentalhealth.org to find a therapist who’ll fit your needs. If you have any questions check in with your JM RCI Member’s Aden Aden and Will Tran, or look for the flyers around school!
JM PRIDE will be meeting after school today in room 2-214. We will be working on making pronoun pins and other plans for trans day of visibility. We will be celebrating Trans Day of Visibility on April 9th.
Rockets, there will be no after school meal on Thursday.
Seniors...Spring Break is a perfect time to review available local scholarships with upcoming deadlines. If you would like help, stop by the CCRC, room 3-105, all day Thursday.

Okay Rockets, it’s Monday and that means it’s time for the riddle of the week. Listen carefully and remember the first three students with the correct answer to the main office get a treat.
I’m a lighthouse in the azure sea,
But cannot be reached or be directly seen.
I shine life to everything underneath the waves,
Both the seaweed and sea life get the light that they crave.
When the dark storm rolls in every twelve or so hours,
The electricity cuts off, only my reflection has power.
What am I?
