Announcements March 22, 2024

Good afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office.

  • Environmental Club is hosting a thrift sale in April! Stop by JM, tomorrow at the front doors to drop off any clothes you’d like to donate! Or you can donate your old clothes in the bins at the front entrance starting Monday, March 25th!

  • Rockets, are you looking for something fun to do over the summer? XP Learning might be for you. Here’s why: It's 100% free. It includes breakfast and lunch. It includes transportation if you sign up by April 15. There are Field Trips every week and you can earn a half general elective credit for each session you attend.

     If this interests you, look for the orange XP Flyer in the hallway fast. The only requirement on your part is that you must be on track to graduate to register. We have limited spots left so don't delay. 

  • Summer School!  Yes, you heard that right!  We have several summer school opportunities happening this year and now is the time to sign up.  One of the programs offered is summer credit recovery.  If you have taken a required class and not earned credit, you need summer credit recovery!  Stop by the counseling office before Spring Break for more information.

  • If you ordered a JM Pride T-shirt and have not picked it up yet.  Please stop by the Main Office to get it.

  • Still thinking about ordering a yearbook? You'll need to act fast. We only have 47 yearbooks left before we sell out and we won't be reordering.   If you've been thinking about ordering one, don't wait! Once they're gone, they're gone!

  • Juniors and Seniors -  Prom tickets are on sale now.  Check out the Prom posters throughout the school for the QR code to sign up and pay.  If you are bringing a guest from another school, guest forms are in the Main Office. 

  • Rockets the new date for the Cultural Celebration Performance has been set.  It will be Wednesday, April 17th.  The practice day for anyone performing or speaking will be Monday, April 15th during 7th and 8th period.

  • Rockets, ACT Prep and Latino Club will be the only after-school programs running today. Afterschool Homework Help is canceled for today.

Good afternoon Rockets! This is your Wednesday update from the Main Office.

  • Rockets - Still thinking about ordering a yearbook? You'll need to act fast. We only have 47 yearbooks left before we sell out and we won't be reordering.   If you've been thinking about ordering one, don't wait! Once they're gone, they're gone! 

  • Afterschool Homework Help is canceled tomorrow, Thursday, March 21.  This includes writing club, K-Pop and there will be no van rides available.  E-Sports and ACT Prep will still meet.

  • Rockets, are you on track to graduate and looking for something to do this Summer.  Experience Learning may be for you.  This Summer program offers daily wellness activities and field trips.  There are 2 sessions being offered, one in June and one in July.  See the posters in the hallways for more information.  Act fast because there are only 100 spots available.

  • Congratulations to JM's CrossFit Club athlete, Alexa Schmidt, for qualifying for quarter finals for the CrossFit. Congratulations Alexa!

Announcements March 18, 2024

Good afternoon Rockets! This is your Monday update from the Main Office.

  • The next Relay For Life meeting will be at 7:30 AM Wednesday, March 20th in room 2-201! See you there!

  • There will be an FCCLA meeting afterschool today.  We will have a guest speaker to talk about fundraising.  We will discuss our Neighborhood program, state conference and the Ronald McDonald House dinner.  Please be there if you plan on partaking in any of these projects.

  • On Wednesday, March 20th, Jostens will be presenting class ring information to our 10th grade students. This will take place at  8:30 in the Auditorium.

  • Rockets, on Tuesdays and Thursdays there will be Intajuice for sale in the Cafeteria.  Starting next week, there will be chips for sale in the Cafe as well.

  • Rockets, it’s time for the Riddle of the Week.  Remember the first three students to the Main Office with the correct answer will get a prize.
