Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office

  • Congrats to Abi T. and Ry M. headed to state for Cross Country tomorrow at the University of MN!
  • Reminder the Winter SAQ meeting is tonight after school at 3:45 in the cafeteria.  
  • There will be a very important FCCLA meeting on Wednesday, November 8th in room 2-203.  We have LOTS of fun things to discuss and plan so please be there.  The next meeting will not be until right before Thanksgiving.  Officers must attend and if you are planning on competing or running for a state or regional office you also must attend.  See you then!
  • Hey Rockets, Yearbook needs your help.  If you have any pictures from events such as homecoming, powder puff, or sporting events, Yearbook would like to use them for special pages.  There are posters around the building with the QR code to submit them.
  • Bus Information for this afternoon:

    • Route 85 will load with route 30 at the same time

    • Route 76 will load around 3:30

    • Route 63 will load around 3:35

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office

  • The Powder Puff Game is tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium.  Players should plan to arrive at 6:30 p.m. If you would like to watch the game, tickets are $5 at the door.
  • Looking to improve your speed, power, and strength metrics? Want to climb the depth chart? Gain more confidence? Get a competitive advantage on your opponents? Come join us for our off-season winter programming! There will be an informational meeting after school on Friday in the cafeteria for all student-athletes interested in participating in the Winter SAQ. Training sessions will be available before and after school, for both speed and power development. Join JM Athletic Performance on Friday at 3:45 p.m. for more information!
  • Advanced Placement Students:  The deadline to register and pay for AP exams is today.  No unpaid exams will be ordered.  Please email Sandy Nieland, the AP Exam Coordinator, today if you are NOT planning on taking an AP exam for which you are registered.  
  • Students, with the end of the quarter coming up, it is a good time to look for overdue Library books and return them to the Library or your English teacher.
  • Starting next week the girls' locker room will be closed in the morning.  If you need a locker, please come to the Main Office to request one.
  • Rockets, you may have noticed the tables have been moved out of the balcony. They will be returning, but going forward if you are sitting in the balcony you must be a junior or a senior, working quietly during your open hour.  
  • Bus information for today:
    • Route 85 and Route 30 will be riding separately today
    • Route 76 and 63 will load at 3:30

  • Join JM’s Black Student Union and be a part of a vibrant community dedicated to organizing African Cultural Events, eliminating cultural conflict and promoting black cultural awareness. Meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.  There will be a meeting today after school in room 2-207.  To join, simply come to the meeting or contact Ms. O. White or Mr. Sharp. We look forward to welcoming you to JM’s Black Student Union Club.
  • If you are interested in learning to braid or if you know how to braid hair, join Ms. Crystal for a 6 week program about hair braiding.  You will meet on Wednesdays after school at 3:30 by the library.  The first meeting will be after school today at 3:30.  If you have any questions see Ms. Crystal

ANNOUNCEMENTS  10/30/23

  • Students tomorrow is Halloween.  If you plan to wear your costume to school tomorrow please keep the following in mind.  Your costume must be school-appropriate, masks and weapons are not allowed.  If staff deem your costume is inappropriate, you may be asked to change.
