teacher helping student at computer

‘I really like that I get to be more creative in this class and make my own designs’, shared William, one of the students in Eddie Bryon’s Graphic Design class. When you walk into this class, students are clearly engaged, interested in what they are doing, and have a great relationship with their teacher.

Mr. Bryson shares that he enjoys this project in particular because, ‘...it gives kids a chance to do something a little weird, and students sometimes have more fun when they are working on something weird.’

Graphic Design is just one of the many visual arts classes that are offered here at JM. Students get an opportunity to create work digitally, using programs such as Photoshop, as they were using today. Artistic outlets are so important for fostering creativity, critically evaluating work, and creating something that you can be proud of. This is Mr. Bryson’s second year at JM (he also happens to be one of our JM football coaches as well) and we are so happy to have him here!
