Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office

  • Did you attend the Job Fair and want help filling out an application? See Veronica in the CCRC, Room 3-105. There is also a Job Board in the Community Room with businesses hiring high school students. 

  • Students interested in the STEAM summit at RCTC on November 14 MUST return the permission slip to Mrs. Cobb no later than this Monday to reserve a spot.

  • There will be a Girls' Basketball Meeting for all girls registered to play basketball this winter on Tuesday, October 31st from 3:30-4:00 in Room 3G-00.  

  • A big congratulations to Abi Tri (tree) and Ry Mathis for qualifying for the state cross-country meet last night in Owatonna! Ry took 9th place and Abi ran away as the section champion. Congratulations ladies!

  • Reminder there is a football game in Owatonna on Saturday. Kick-off is at 7:00 PM. Good luck Rockets!

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Thursday update from the Main Office

  •  Get ready JM. Our next Rocket BOOST will be held tomorrow outside of Door One. We will be offering a Fall Foods sampler to get into the season and provide you with fun recipes to share with family and friends!  A big thank you to our fabulous FCCLA for partnering with us!!

Announcements 10/25/2023

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Wednesday update from the Main Office

  • Students: Lost a clothing item, backpack, water bottle? Look over the lost and found items in the main lobby and please take it if it belongs to you! Smaller lost items like phones or jewelry are located in the main office.
  • Attention all FCCLA members, there will be a meeting today after school in Room 2-203.  See you then!!
  • Reminder, today is the last day for Winter sports registration. Please make sure to have an updated sports physical on file before registering. Any questions, visit Dakota in the athletic office. 
  • All 16 and 17-year-olds: You can now pre-register to vote. If you would like to pre-register or register if you are 18, there will be a table set up in the gym lobby during 4th, 5th, and 6th periods. There will also be posters around the school with the QR code to the website where you can register. 
  • JM’s Black Student Union will have their first meeting after school today from 3:30 pm-4:15 pm in Room 2-207. To join, simply come to the meeting or contact Ms. O.  or Mr. Sharp. We look forward to welcoming you to JM’s Black Student Union Club.
  • Are you interested in a career in Health Care or other STEAM field? If so, you may want to attend the Rochester STEAM Summit on November 14 from 10:15 to 12:45 at the RCTC Field House. There will be over 100 interactive exhibits. There is no cost to students and transportation will be provided. Space is limited, so see Mrs. Cobb in 3-G01 for a permission slip soon!
  • Congratulations to our Football team for their win over Century last night 14 to 0.  They have now advanced to the section semi-finals against Owatonna. The game is this Saturday in Owatonna. Kick-off is at 7:00.  Way to go Rockets!

Good Afternoon Rockets! Here are your announcements for Tuesday, October 24th

  • Art Club today, Tuesday, from 3:20-4:20. We are going to begin Acrylic painting on canvas- Come join!
  • JM PRIDE will be meeting today after school for a board game night. We will have a variety of games and activities to choose from. Remember it is confidential to join and everyone is always welcome. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to join, just come with an open mind! 
  • Attention all FCCLA members, we will be having an FCCLA meeting on Wednesday after school in Room 2-203.  See you then!!

White or Mr. Sharp.We look forward to welcoming you to JM’s Black Student Union Club.

  • We are excited to announce one new category for projects called "Technology Enhances the Arts". It recognizes students who use technology to ignite new concepts, visualization tools, and/or media to enhance our enjoyment of the arts. STEM fair is open to ALL students who have a passion for exploring a topic in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.   It could be a new invention or a computer app that addresses a problem in our community.  Astronomical vastness of space to the microbiology world. Teams of 1, 2 or 3 people can join. See Ms. Erickson in 5-110 for more info! 
  • Did you know Girls Wrestling is the fastest-growing sport in the USA? Girls High School Wrestling is a thing!!! We invite Girls from John Marshall to join the JM Girls Wrestling Team to condition and compete against other girls from around the state. Open Wrestling, JM wrestling room come and try it. October 24,26, and 27 from 3:30-5:30
  • We will be hosting Century tonight in football. Just a reminder that this is a Section playoff game and no passes are allowed. Hope to see you there, 7:00 kickoff.

Good Afternoon Rockets! Here are your announcements for Monday, October 23rd.
