Advanced Placement Students: The deadline to register and pay for AP exams is next Thursday, November 2. No unpaid exams will be ordered. Please email Sandy Nieland, the AP Exam Coordinator, today if you are NOT planning on taking an AP exam for which you are registered.

Hello, AP Students and Parents,
It’s already October and time to decide whether or not to take your AP exam/s. Many of you have completed registration for your AP course/s and exam/s. Once you have registered for your AP class on The College Board, you have officially registered to take the exam for that class. Your exam status on The College Board is YES. Now it is time for the next step. If you are going to take the exam/s, please make the payment on your Total Registration account. If you are a new AP student, create a Total Registration account at: www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/242100 in order to pay for your exam/s. Thank you for taking care of this before the November 2, 2023 deadline! Each exam is $67. There is an additional $40 late fee for each exam payment after this deadline.
If you are a Free/Reduced Lunch student, click YES for this question on Total Registration to indicate that you qualify for a fee reduction on the exam/s. You won’t be able to pay for your exam/s until I confirm your qualification. Once I do that, you will receive an email informing you that you may pay online. Please take care of this before October 23 in order to give me time to approve your request, email you, and for you to meet the November 2 payment deadline. You will also have to complete the Rochester Public Schools form which is available in the Counseling Office. It takes just a couple of minutes to complete. See Teresa Klompenhower at the receptionist’s desk for the form. Free/Reduced exams are $32.
If you are NOT going to take the exam for an AP class, you need to email me, Sandy Nieland at sanieland@rochesterschools.org. Please tell me your first and last name as well as the name of the AP exam/s you will NOT be taking. I will then change the status of your exam/s to NO on The College Board. If you do not notify me, you will be charged for the exam/s. The deadline to notify me is November 2, 2023. There is a $40 late fee for each exam canceled after this deadline.
Important Reminder: Students should have used a personal email for both The College Board and Total Registration accounts. You can edit your accounts to change your email to a personal email. You need to do this so both sites “can read” each other. Please take care of this as soon as possible.
