Extended 7th Hour Schedule for the Polar Plunge on 3/13
Congratulations to these Century students!
After two days and 7 rounds of challenging chess, the Century Varsity Chess team attained 19.5 points! This was good for a three-way first-place tie, the first ever in the 60 + years of the tournament.

Ramadan Kareem!. On behalf of Century High School Muslim Student Association (MSA) in collaboration with Mayo, John Marshall and Rochester Math and Science Academy would like to invite you to our Fifth Annual Iftar Night on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM in the Mayo High School Cafeteria.
Iftar is the meal that Muslims eat at sunset to break their fast throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Iftar comes with a sense of community belonging where people share and learn from one another after a long day of fasting by eating a small meal together.
We would love for you all to join us! and please feel free to invite your community as well. However spots are limited so please encourage people to register as soon as possible.

The Century Chess Team was one of 3 teams who placed first in the 2025 Minnesota State Association K - 12 Scholastic Tournament High School division. Also Joshua Wang placed 2nd individually in the under 1300 rated group while Johan Myburgh placed first. Calder Nguyen placed 11th overall.
Students will not report to school on Wednesday, March 12. Staff will be participating in a curriculum adjustment day. We will see students back on Thursday, March 13.
On March 13th in an extended 7th hour, 100+ brave panthers will be taking the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. The Century Varsity Chess Team defeated Homeschool 5 - 0 and Mayo HS 4 1/2 to 1/2 to defend and keep the RASCL City Cup. Caulder Nguyen placed second in the varsity top five, Johan Mayburgh was third and Cole Lappi fourth. Cole was also named to the All League team
